Who are GroceryAid? GroceryAid is the trading name for the National Grocer’s Benevolent Fund and have been established since 1857. They provide free financial, emotional and practical support to those in the grocery industry, including multi-retailers, wholesalers, convenience stores, independents, suppliers, manufacturers and service providers. GroceryAid have a free and confidential 24/7 helpline that is available to your colleagues, their partner/spouse and dependants (over 18) and additional support for families in their home, from their first day of employment within the industry. GroceryAid also offer non-repayable one-off grants to help those experiencing an emergency or unexpected sudden gap in income (subject to GroceryAid’s financial criteria).
As proud bronze members of GroceryAid, today we’d like to help raise awareness about the free and confidential welfare support available to grocery colleagues working across every area of the industry.
The theme this year is #AlwaysOpen because we want colleagues from head office to factory floor to know that whatever the time of day, they always have someone to talk to at GroceryAid who offer support 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
