MAIN PURPOSE OF ROLE
National Account Executive responsible for managing and growing customer accounts within Cafea’s business to business and wholesale channel. Key tasks are driving new business and maintaining strong relationships within our existing and potential new customers. This role is best suited to an energetic, self- starter of graduate calibre with one year’s work experience or newly graduated in a related degree subject. This position requires an interest in Fast Moving Consumer Goods, ability to build strong customer relationships and to execute sales strategies that drive growth within a portfolio of customer accounts.
KEY RELATIONSHIPS
Customers, third party manufacturers. National Account Managers, Commercial Finance Manager, Purchasing Manager, Marketing Assistant and Heads of Sales & Marketing. Work cross functionally with Dunstable teams and other Cafea Group sites.
Key Responsibilities:
- B2B Account Management:
- Cultivate and manage relationships with B2B and wholesale accounts, ensuring long-term partnerships and sales growth.
- Identify and prospect new customers, building a pipeline of opportunities.
- Develop customized sales proposals and presentations tailored to customer needs and Cafea’s business objectives.
- Provide accurate sales forecasts and work closely with supply chain to ensure high service levels for our customers.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and delivering exceptional customer service.
- Market & Competitive Analysis:
- Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and market conditions to identify opportunities and challenges.
- Use IGD and Kantar data to monitor the market and create reports on market developments for the sales team. Work with Account Managers to create customer specific market insight presentations (training will be given) to use during business and category review meetings
- Collaboration & Coordination:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams (e.g., marketing, supply chain, technical) to ensure client needs are supported and understood.
- Attend trade shows, industry events, and conferences to strengthen relationships with customers and within the coffee industry.
- Be able to cover office management tasks such as post / courier / site visits when the Commercial Assistant is away.
- Be an ambassador for the Cafea UK business within our customers and in the wider UK coffee market
Qualifications, Skills and Experience
Essential
- Educated to degree level or of graduate calibre
- Highly organized, self-motivated, and able to work independently
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships
- Able to demonstrate experience of working to targets
- Willingness to travel nationally as needed to meet with clients and attend events.
- PC literate with good Microsoft Office skills
- Live within 20 miles or easy commutable distance of Dunstable
Desirable
- Experience of working within a sales team
- Experience of the UK FMCG market
- Experience of UK coffee market
