Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Implement account sales plans appropriate for UK retail, out of home and convenience retail channel customers achieving volume & gross margin targets
- Conduct regular business reviews/meetings with relevant customer contacts to develop effective relationships and identify opportunities to grow Cafea UK business. Manage all negotiations including cost price increases, NPD launches, distribution and contract terms.
- Proactively maintain a network of key contacts at Buyer level and cross functionally such as technical, category, marketing, online and supply chain, and where possible leverage those partnerships to deliver growth
- Build a good understanding of our customers, including the key levers to achieve our business objectives and make recommendations to amend Cafea UK plan as appropriate
- Broaden the Cafea UK business by investigating and developing new business opportunities within UK wholesale and convenience market
- Be a category partner to our larger customers, providing category insight, market data and knowledge as required
- Support customer initiatives, especially in the areas of sustainability and digital marketing, to build relationships and secure long-term trading partnerships
- Review performance monthly ensuring volume and gross profit objectives are being achieved, and recommending appropriate action where not
- Work collaboratively with peers from other parts of Cafea UK and the Cafea Group to ensure the growth and success of the business, including contributing ideas and sharing knowledge and experiences
- Be an ambassador for the Cafea / Cafea UK business with our customers and in the wider UK market

Qualifications, Skills and Experience
Essential
- Self-starter and motivator, positive can-do attitude
- Excellent communicator and team player with superior influencing skills and established contacts within UK food retailing.
- Track record of achieving budget and demonstrating good business acumen and strong financial skills
- Highly organised but adaptable with a positive attitude to change.
- Able to work to tight deadlines and keep calm under significant pressure.
- High energy, passion, a high intellect and a will to win
Desirable
- Educated to degree level or commensurate experience.
- A good standard of PC literacy
- Experience of Coffee Industry
- Be able to balance short-term actions with long term strategic growth of the Cafea company

The post holder will be responsible for health and safety in the area under his/her control on a day-to-day basis, and must ensure as far as is reasonably practicable, that he/she is familiar with all relevant Health and Safety legislation and recommendations and these are observed within his/her areas of responsibility.
